PAKKRET Travel Guide Wat Bang Phut Nai reflects both Mon architecture and lifestyle and remains an active center for numerous Buddhist activities. Located along Khlong Bang Phut, this nearly 200-year-old temple was established in 1818 by the Mon community during the early reign of King Rama III. Originally called Wat San Thong and affiliated with the Mon Sangha sect, it is now part of the Maha Nikaya order.
