96 วัดศาลากุล Wat Salakul วัด ศาลากุล เป็นวัดที่สร้างมาตั้งแต่สมัยกรุงศรีอยุธยาตอนปลาย เป็นวัดไทยวัดเดียวในเกาะเกร็ด ที่ตั้งอยู่เกือบกลางเกาะเกร็ด และอยู่ในบริเวณหมู่ที่ 3 การเดินทางไปยังวัดนี้ ถ้าหากข้ามเรือที่ ท่าวัดกลางเกร็ด เมื่อขึ้นที่ท่าเกาะเกร็ด จะมีถนนไปถึงวัดนี้ได้ กล่าวกันว่าวัดนี้เป็น วัดเก่าเช่นกัน เดิมตั้งอยู่ริมแม่น�้ำ เนื่องจากดินริมแม่น�้ำงอกขึ้นเรื่อยๆ ปัจจุบันนี้จึง อยู่เกือบกลางเกาะเกร็ด โบราณสถานของวัดสร้างขึ้นใหม่ทั้งหมดทั้งพระอุโบสถ และศาลา แต่ยังมีโบราณวัตถุ เก่าเช่น เครื่องมุก, เครื่องแก้ว, และอื่นๆ ซึ่งทางวัด เก็บรักษาไว้ วัดนี้มีชื่อเสียงในการท�ำเครื่องรางของขลัง เช่น หนุมานแกะสลัก ของ พระอาจารย์สุ่น อดีตเจ้าอาวาส เป็นต้น W at Salakul was built during the late Ayutthaya period. It is the only Thai temple in Korkret and is located in the middle of the island in Moo 3 area. If anyone wishes to travel to temple, one can cross the river from Wat Klang Kret to Korkret then follow the road to the temple. It was formerly located on the riverbank but when the land gradually expands, it is now located in the middle of the island. Although, it is said that this temple is an ancient temple, all the buildings are newly built. Still, there are many valuable artifacts such as collections of pearl and glass utensils and plates that are carefully kept in the temple. The temple is well-known for its amulets, especially Hanuman of Phra Ajarn Soon, the late abbot.
