In addition to Luang Poo Kao housed in the old Ubosot of Wat Pho Baan Oy 12. Wat Pho Bang Oy Located at the east of the Chao Phraya River, Bang Pood district, and the north of Wat Kuh, the temple was established in 1594 and originally called “Wat Lao” because its location is close to Lao community. However, people later named it “Wat Pho” since there was a huge Bodhi tree providing a shade to the temple. Wat Rueng Viej Mongkol Located at Baan Mit Pracha, Tambon Baan Mai, the temple was recently established in 1977 by Tim Rueng Viej family. The family donated the land for temple construction and later in 1988 the temple was registered as a monastery that can be used for ordination and other ritual ceremonies. Inside contains a four-room Ubosot situated at the center of the field surrounded with trees, allowing a peaceful and shady atmosphere.
