6. การมีส่วนร่วมของประชาชนและความร่วมมือของทุกภาคส่วน Participation of the people and all Sectors กระแสการ เป็ นประชาธิปไตยของ โลกได้ เ ข้ าสู่ ประเทศไทยมาหลายสิบปี ท�ำให้ประชาชนรู้ถึงสิทธิเสรีภาพ และมีส่วนร่วมในทางการเมืองมากขึ้น น�ำมาสู่การปฏิรูประบบ การเมืองไทย รัฐธรรมนูญแห่งราชอาณาจักรไทยให้ความ ส�ำคัญกับการมีส่วนร่วมของประชาชนเป็นอย่างมาก เทศบาล นครปากเกร็ดได้ส่งเสริมความรู้เกี่ยวกับการปกครองระบอบ ประชาธิปไตย โดยได้ด�ำเนินการจัดการเลือกตั้งสมาชิกสภา เทศบาลนครปากเกร็ดในช่วงเดือนตุลาคม-พฤศจิกายน พ.ศ. 2555 ได้ด�ำเนินการประชาสัมพันธ์ข้อมูลด้านการเลือกตั้ง ให้แก่ผู้น�ำชุมชน ประชาชนทั่วไป และเจ้าหน้าที่ของเทศบาล และส่งเสริมให้เยาวชนได้มีความรู้ความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับปกครอง ในระบอบประชาธิปไตยและการมีส่วนร่วมของประชาชน รวมทั้งท�ำสื่อประชาสัมพันธ์เผยแพร่นโยบายและผลงานของ เทศบาลเพื่อให้ประชาชนเข้าใจบทบาทหน้าที่ขององค์กร ปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นมากขึ้น Democracy, the global principle promoted by many, existed in Thailand for many decades. It made people more aware of their rights and freedoms and participate more in the politics, which led to the reform of the Thai political system. The Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand emphasizes the importance of people’s participation. Pakkret Municipality promoted knowledge about democracy by organizing the election of the members of Pakkret Municipal Council during October-November 2012. The election information was distributed to community leaders, the general public, and the Municipality’s officers. Knowledge and understanding about the democracy and the participation of the people were promoted among the youth. Many forms of public relations media were made to disseminate the Municipality’s policies and achievements in order to make people understand the Local Administration Organization’s roles and duties.
