หากเอ่ยถึง “ปากเกร็ด” คนส่ วนใหญ่มักนึกถึงภาพ การด�ำรงชีวิตและวิถีธรรมชาติของผู้คนริมสองฝั่งแม่น�้ำเจ้าพระยา และความงดงามทางประวัติศาสตร์ โบราณสถาน วัฒนธรรม ประเพณี และงานหัตถกรรม เครื่องปั้นดินเผา และวิถีชีวิตแบบผสม ผสานระหว่างไทยและรามัญ (มอญ) ความอุดมสมบูรณ์ของพื้นที่ ท�ำให้มีผู้คนมาตั้งถิ่นฐานเป็นชุมชนโดยเฉพาะริมแม่น�้ำเจ้าพระยา ที่มีชุมชนอยู่อย่างหนาแน่นมาตั้งแต่อดีต และเป็นดินแดนหลากหลาย ชาติพันธุ์ ทั้ง จีน ลาว อิสลาม คริสต์ และมอญ เป็นเมืองที่เจริญ รุ่งเรืองแห่งหนึ่งตั้งแต่กรุงศรีอยุธยาเป็นราชธานี จวบจนกระทั่ง ปัจจุบัน ปากเกร็ดจึงเต็มไปด้วยสิ่งที่น่าสนใจมากมาย ดึงดูดให้ผู้คน เดินทางมาสัมผัสเสน่ห์ของนครปากเกร็ดแห่งนี้ เล่าขานต�ำนานปากเกร็ด นครแห่งวัฒนธรรมและประเพณี The legends of Pakkret, city of culture and tradition If we mention the name “Pakkret”, most people would imagine the picture of natural living along the Chao Phraya River banks and the beauty of history, archeological sites, tradition, culture, handicrafts, pottery and integrated living between Thai and the Raman (Mon). Because of its land fertility, people came to settle and build a dense and sprawling community here since the old days, especially along the Chao Phraya River banks. Pakkret was composed of many races namely Chinese, Lao, Muslim, Christian and Mon. It is a flourishing town since the Krungsri Ayutthaya period, the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Thailand, until present time.
