ด้วยสภาพพื้นที่เดิมเป็นที่ลุ่มริมน�้ำเจ้าพระยา ปัญหาที่นครปากเกร็ด เผชิญมาตลอดปี 20 ปี คือปัญหาน�้ำท่วม เทศบาลได้วางแผนพัฒนาเมืองในการ แก้ปัญหาน�้ำท่วมมาโดยตลอด การยกระดับถนนภูมิเวท ถนนสุขาประชาสรรค์ 1 ถนนสุขาประชาสรรค์ 2 (ซอยวัดกู้) และสุขาประสรรค์ 3 ถนนทุกสายมีระบบ ระบายน�้ำ และเป็นถนน ค.ส.ล. เพื่อให้พร้อมเป็นแนวป้องกันน�้ำและระบายน�้ำ ได้ในเวลาเดียวกัน นอกจากนั้นเทศบาลนครปากเกร็ดยังได้ขยายโครงข่ายถนนต่าง ๆ เชื่อมโยงจากระบบระบายน�้ำจากหมู่บ้านจัดสรรให้น�้ำในเมือง ในชุมชน ผ่านระบบบ�ำบัดก่อนระบายลงคลองสาธารณะ คลองบางพูดเส้นเลือดใหญ่ ในการรับน�้ำชุมชนและคลองบางพัง บางตลาด ทุกคลองล้วนมีประตูระบายน�้ำ ส�ำหรับควบคุมน�้ำฝนน�้ำท่าให้สมดุล การปรับระบบโครงสร้างเมืองในการ แก้ปัญหาน�้ำท่วมของนครปากเกร็ด ท�ำให้พื้นที่ริมน�้ำที่เคยประสบปัญหาน�้ำ ท่วมถึงแนวถนนติวานนท์ คิดเป็น 30 เปอร์เซ็นต์ ของพื้นที่ ลดลงเหลือ 2-3 เปอร์เซ็นต์ ในปัจจุบัน ด้วยการพัฒนาถนน คลอง ระบบระบายน�้ำ ไปพร้อมกับการแก้ปัญหาน�้ำท่วม ผลงาน ของเทศบาลนครปากเกร็ด เทศบาลนครปากเกร็ด เราเป็นหน่วยงานของชาวปากเกร็ด เราพร้อม จะจัดบริการดี ๆ ให้กับชุมชน เทศบาลพร้อมที่จะรับฟังและร่วมกับชุมชน ในการแก้ปัญหา เมืองเราก�ำลังเติบโตอย่างต่อเนื่อง ปัญหาย่อมมีตามมา แต่ ถ้าเราเตรียมพร้อมรับ เราก็จะอยู่ร่วมกันได้อย่างมีความสุข Achievements of Pakkret Municipality Due to its landscape as a low plain along the Chao Phraya River basin, the problem facing Pakkret for the past twenty years is flooding. The municipality has continuously planned to develop the city in order to cope with the flood. Phumivet Road, Sukha Prachasawan Road 1, Sukha Prachasawan Road 2 (Soi Wat Koo), and Sukha Prachasawan 3 are all elevated with reinforced concrete and have a sewage system to make them ready to be used as dams and drainage ways at the same time. Besides, Pakkret Municipality has expanded many roads linking with the sewage system from housing estates to waste water treatment before going to the public drainage. Klong Bang Pood is the major drainage area, along with Klon Bang Pang and Bang Talad. Every Klong has its drainage door to control the water level. We have modified the city structure system as well as developed some roads, klongs and sewage system in order to solve the flooding problem which resulted in reducing the flooding area along the river to TiwanonRoad from30%toonly2-3%at thepresent. “Pakkret Municipality is the entity of the Pakkret people.
