 PAKKRET Travel Guide วัดช่องลม เป็นศูนย์รวมจิตใจของคนไทยและชาวไทยเชื้อสายมอญมาเป็นเวลา นาน สร้างขึ้นในสมัยกรุงธนบุรี เดิมมีชื่อตามคลองว่า ช้างล้ม และด้วยเหตุเพราะว่าพระเจ้า อู่ทองทรงยกทัพไปภาคใต้ตามล� ำน�้ ำเจ้าพระยาผ่านคลองนี้ มีช้างศึกตัวหนึ่งเกิดล้ม (ตาย) ขณะก� ำลังว่ายข้ามคลอง จากนั้นจึงเรียกเพี้ยนไปจาก “ช้างล้ม” เป็น “ช่องลม” (ปัจจุบัน คลองนี้ตื้นเขิน แต่ยังคงเหลือสภาพให้เห็น) วัดช่องลมเป็นวัดที่ไม่ใหญ่มาก และไม่มี ศาสนสถานหรือโบราณสถานเก่าแก่ แต่วัดได้พัฒนาและปรับปรุง มีการสร้างโบสถ์ และ ศาลาการเปรียญ เป็นต้น Wat Chong Lom has long been a spiritual center for both Thais and Thai-Mon descendants. Built during the Thonburi period, the temple originally took its name from the nearby canal, Khlong Chang Lom (“Fallen Elephant”), which, according to legend, was named after a royal war elephant of King U-Thong that died while crossing the waterway during a southern military campaign. Over time, the name evolved to Chong Lom. Though not large and lacking ancient structures, the temple has been well maintained and continuously developed, with the construction of a new ordination hall (ubosot), sermon hall (sala kan parian), and other facilities. 冲隆寺长期以来一直是泰国人及泰国孟族后裔的精神中心，建于吞武里王朝时期。寺名原为**“象 倒运河寺”**（Khlong Chang Lom），据传说，乌通王南下征战时有一头御象在渡河时死亡，因而得名。后 来名称逐渐演变为“冲隆”。寺庙规模不大，也没有古老的历史遗迹，但经过持续修缮与发展，已建成新的大 雄宝殿、讲经堂及其他建筑，成为当地居民重要的宗教活动场所。 วัดช่องลม Wat Chong Lom 冲隆寺 วัดวาอาราม The Temples 寺
