 PAKKRET Travel Guide Wat Bang Phut Nok is an ancient temple dating back to the Ayutthaya period, built around 1598. Its name comes from the surrounding Bang Phut community along Khlong Bang Phut (which is also home to Wat Bang Phut Nai). The temple features a traditional Thai-style ordination hall with mid-Ayutthaya architecture, notable for its curved ship-like base and gable decorated with stucco carvings of the Thep Phanom celestial figure. Inside, the principal Buddha image is an ancient Meditation Posture (Samadhi) Buddha statue created before the Rattanakosin era.
