98 วัดไผ่ล้อม Wat Phai Lom วัดไผ่ล้อม ตั้งอยู่ริมแม่น�้ำเจ้าพระยา วัดนี้สร้างสมัยอยุธยาตอนปลาย โบราณสถานของวัดที่น่าชมคือ พระอุโบสถ เพราะผู้คนถือว่าวัดนี้มีโบสถ์สมัยอยุธยา ที่งามมากแห่งหนึ่งเลยทีเดียว ซึ่งมีหน้าบันจ�ำหลักไม้ เป็นลายดอกไม้อย่างงดงาม และมีคันทวยและบัวหัวเสาที่มีความงามไม่แพ้กัน ด้านหน้าของพระอุโบสถ มี เจดีย์ 2 องค์มีฐานเป็นสี่เหลี่ยม ย่อมุมไม้สิบสอง ซึ่งคนมอญเรียกว่า “เพี๊ยะโต้” รอบๆ วัดจะมีชาวบ้านน�ำ ขนม อาหาร ของที่ระลึก และเครื่องปั้นดินเผา มาวางขายตามริมทางเดินสามารถซื้อเป็นของฝากได้ Wat Pai Lom is located on the Chao Phraya riverbank. It was built during the late Ayutthaya period. The highlight of this temple is the main hall which the locals praised highly of its beauty since it has a wooden handcrafted floral tympanum. The corbels are also equally beautiful. In front of the main hall, there are two pagodas standing on twelve wooden recess rectangle bases which Mon people call “Pia Toh”. Tourists may also go shopping at the local shops around the temple.
