81 วัดสนามเหนือ มีพระพุทธรูปปางเกศธาตุ หรือที่ชาวบ้านเรียกขานกันง่ายๆ ว่า ปางตะเบ๊ะซึ่งเป็นพระพุทธรูปที่แตกต่างจากปางทั่วๆ ไป อายุกว่า ๔๐๐ ปี ซึ่งพระพุทธรูปปางเกศธาตุมีเพียง ๓ องค์ อยู่ที่ ๓ วัด คือ ๑. วัดสนามเหนือ จ.นนทบุรี ๒. วัดบวรนิเวศฯ กรุงเทพฯ ๓. วัดพระปฐมเจดีย์ จ. นครปฐม มี ความเชื่อกันว่า ประชาชนที่ประกอบสัมมาชีพท�ำมาค้าขายเมื่อมาขอพรแล้วจะ ประสบความส�ำเร็จ เนื่องจากเป็นปางพระพุทธรูปที่เกิดขึ้นจากกลุ่มพ่อค้าใน สมัยพุทธกาล และอีกหนึ่งจุดที่พลาดไม่ได้คือจุดชมวิววัดสนามเหนือ อีกฟากของแม่น�้ำ เราจะเห็นเจดีย์เอียงอันเป็นสัญลักษณ์ของเกาะเกร็ด มุมนี้ก็นับว่าเป็นมุมที่ผู้ใด ได้มาก็ต้องถ่ายรูปและสามารถโดยสารเรือที่ท่านี้ วัดสนามเหนือไปยังเกาะเกร็ด ได้ในช่วงเสาร์-อาทิตย์ บริเวณวัดจึงมีสินค้าขายมากมาย ส่วนใหญ่เป็นสินค้าท�ำ มือเหมือนตลาดขนาดย่อม นับว่าเป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวโบราณสถานที่น่าสนใจ แห่งหนึ่ง Wat Sanarm Nua has a special Buddha that the locals often refer as “Saluting Buddha”. The Buddha is more than 400 years old. This type of Buddha can only be found in three temples; namely 1. Wat Sanarm Nua in Nonthaburi province, 2. Wat Bovorn Nivet, in Bangkok, and 3. Wat Phra Prathom Chedi in Nakorn Pathom province. It is said that merchants often come to pray to the Buddha and it is believed that doing so will lead to great profitability since this type of Buddha was built based on the story of the merchants in the Buddha’s lifetime. Another thing that is a must see is the view point of Wat Sanarm Nua. We can see the leaning pagoda which is Pakkret’s famous attraction on the opposite site of the river. Tourists can also cross the river at this point on Saturday and Sunday. Moreover, the area has a market that sells hand-made products. This place truly is an amazing historical attraction.
