75 อิ่ม บุญ อิ่มธรรม และวัดติดกับแม่น�้ำ เจ้าพระยา ท�ำบุญไหว้พระ ขอพร ฟังเทศน์ฟังธรรม เพลิดเพลินกับ การให้อาหารปลาริมน�้ำหน้าวัด เป็นทานกุศลที่ยิ่ง ใหญ่ของนักท่องเที่ยวที่มาเยือนวัดนี้ วัดศรีรัตนาราม ตั้งอยู่ฝั่งตะวันออกของแม่น�้ำ เจ้าพระยา ตรงข้ามโรงเบียร์ ปทุมธานี ในต�ำบล บางพูด เดิมชื่อ วัดบางพัง ถูกกระแสน�้ำ กัดเซาะพัง อยู่ตลอดเวลา จึงเรียกหมู่บ้านแห่งนี้ว่า บ้านบางพัง และเรียกวัดที่สร้างในชุมชนว่า วัดบางพัง สร้าง ตั้งแต่สมัยกรุงศรีอยุธยาตอนปลาย ต่อมาเปลี่ยนชื่อ เป็นวัดศรีรัตนาราม ซึ่งคนส่วนมากจะมาสักการะ รูปปั้น หลวงพ่อแฉ่ง วัดบางพัง ซึ่งเป็นเกจิดังยุค สงครามโลก เป็นเกจิอาจารย์ที่มีความศักดิ์สิทธิ์เป็น อย่างมาก เป็นพระปฏิบัติเชี่ยวชาญทางวิปัสสนา กรรมฐาน P eace and blessing are the feelings that tourists can get at this temple since they can enjoy the scenery of the riverside while feeding the fish. The temple is situated on the East side of Chao Phraya River, opposite of Prathumthani Beer Tavern in Bang Pood subdistrict. Its former name was “Wat Bang Pung” because the area was eroded by water all the time. Thus, the locals named the area “Ban Bang Pung”. The temple has been established since Ayutthaya era. L a t e r , i t wa s r enamed “Wa t S r i Rattanaram”. People often come to pray to the statue of “Luang Pho Chang” who was a monk during the World War II period. It is said that the monk was so sacred and was a meditation expert.
