53 พื้นที่ตั้งวัดเป็นที่ราบลุ่มโดยส่วนใหญ่ มีคลองบางพูดผ่านทางด้าน ใต้ของวัด สร้างเมื่อประมาณ พ.ศ. ๒๑๔๐ ประมาณ ๓๐๐ กว่าปีแล้ว ที่ตั้งชื่อวัดอย่างนั้น เพราะวัดตั้งอยู่ที่บ้านคลองบางพูด จึงได้ขนานนาม ตามภูมิประเทศที่ตั้งวัดซึ่งเป็นที่รู้จักกันดี “วัดบางพูดนอก” ภายในวัด มีพระอุโบสถ ลักษณะทรงไทยแบบเก่ามีช่องประตู ๓ ประตู ด้านหน้า ๑ ประตู ด้านหลัง ๒ ประตู ไม่มีหน้าต่าง มีฐานอุโบสถแอ่นโค้งแบบเรือ ส�ำเภา หน้าบันลวดลายปูนปั้นรูปเทพพนม ในอุโบสถมีพระประธานปางสมาธิ เป็นพระพุทธรูปเก่าแก่สร้างก่อนกรุงรัตนโกสินทร์ ส่วนบริเวณวัดมีอาคารเสนาสนะดังนี้ มีกุฏิสงฆ์ส่วนใหญ่เป็นอาคารครึ่ง ตึกครึ่งไม้ทรงไทยประยุกต์ “หอสวดมนต์” ศาลาการเปรียญเป็นคอนกรีต เหล็ก รวมถึงปูชนียวัตถุ พระพุทธรูปเก่าทรงคุณค่าทางพระพุทธศาสนา The area of the temple is a plain area that has Bang Pood Canal in the South of the temple. The temple was constructed around BE 2140 or more than 300 years ago. The name of the temple comes from the fact that it is located in Ban Bang pood area. Inside the temple, there is an old Thai-styled hall which has three doors which includes one front door and two back doors but no windows. The base of the hall was built to be curved like those of a junk (ship). The hall embodies a meditating Buddha which was built before Rattanakosinth Era. The temple contains various architectures and artifacts, namely mix-styled monk houses, a chanting hall, a multi-purposed hall and valuable ancient Buddha statues.
