34 วัดเกาะพญาเจ่ง Wat Koh Phraya Jeng เ ที่ยวโบสถ์ ดูจิตรกรรมฝาผนัง วัดเกาะพญาเจ่ง ร�่ำลือถึงความงดงาม ของศิลปะชั้นสูง และวัดนี้ เป็นแหล่งความรู้ด้านศิลปะ วัฒนธรรม และ ประเพณีเรื่องราวต่างๆ ของชาวไทยเชื้อสายมอญ วัดนี้ตั้งอยู่ถนนแจ้งวัฒนะ ต�ำบลปากเกร็ด เดิมชื่อวัด เกาะบางพูด หรือ วัดเกาะรามัญ สร้างขึ้นตั้งแต่ปี ๒๓๑๘ โดยพญาเจ่ง อดีตแม่ทัพมอญที่อพยพจากพม่าและพา ไพร่พล เข้ามาพึ่งพระบรมโพธิสมภารกษัตริย์ไทย ณ ที่ดิน ซึ่งได้รับพระราชทานโปรดเกล้าจากพระบาทสมเด็จ- พระเจ้าตากสินมหาราชเมื่อปี ๒๓๑๗ ซึ่งตรงกับสมัย รัชกาลที่ ๑ พญาเจ่งได้ช่วยไทยรบพม่าจนมีความดีความ ชอบมาก พระบาทสมเด็จพระพุทธยอดฟ้าจุฬาโลกจึงทรง พระราชทานยศให้เป็นเจ้าพระยามหาโยธานราธิบดี ศรีพิชัยณรงค์ ต่อมาบุตรชายคนโตที่ชื่อทอเรียะก็ได้รับ พระราชทานยศให้เป็นเจ้าพระยามหาโยธาเช่นกัน ท่าน จึงได้ สร้ างวัดนี้ต่ อจากบิดา โดยท่ านเป็นต้ นสกุล “คชเสนี” E njoying the scenery along the way to the temple, the beauty of Thai paint- ings, the elegance of Thai tradition- al fine arts, tourists may experience all of these at the temple. This place is also a learn- ing center of Thai-Mons arts and cultures. The temple is located on Chang Wattana Road, Pakkret Municipality. It was formerly called Wat Koh Raman. Established in BE2318 by Pharaya Jeng, a general of Mon Army that led Mon people from Myanmar to live in the area that was given by King Tak Sin. In BE 2317, which was in the reign of King Rama I, General Jeng assisted Thai army in defeating Burmese army, He was award the title of Chao Phraya Maha Yotha Narathibordipichainarong which was also award to his first son, Toriah, the person who established this temple. His son was the ancestor of Kotchaseni Family.
