Sour Orange Curry with Kra-Jeab-Keaw Hun-Thra Kang-Som-Koong-Kra-Jeab-Keaw (Sour Orange Curry with Kra-Jeab-Keaw) Okra, or lady’s fingers, is a short-life plant with high nutrition, such as carbohydrate, protein, calcium, phosphorus, and vitamin C. It can be used as a vitamin for brain nourishment and a treatment for Clonorchis sinensis and other symptoms namely, high blood pressure, blood vessel disorders, and peptic disease. Immature okra fruits contain higher than 14% of oil and no less than 20% of protein. They are also considered one of the greatest sources of protein. Since okra is not only delicious but also salutary, most of Thai Raman people use okra as a main ingredient for many dishes, such as deep-fried Noh Kala cake and shrimp sour curry with Lady’s fingers. Hun-Thra: Royal Thai Dessert Hun Thra, ancient Thai dessert, looks like a seed of Jack fruit and crispy noodles. The knowledge of dessert preparation was conveyed and transfered a noble family dated back to a period of King Rama V (Phra Bat Somdet Phra Poramintharamaha Chulalongkorn Phra Chunla Chom Klao Chao Yu Hua). The old temple named “Wat Paramai” was renovated under the royal command of His Majesty King Rama V. The renovation took almost 10 years to be completed. During that period, whenever the king made a visit to observe a renovation progress, he usually hosted a meal as an offering to monks and for guests. Reputation and expertise of the royal cuisine for both main courses and desserts being served there have been renowned. The skill and knowledge were transferred to people of Koh Kret, who assisted in food offering.
