เทศบาลนครปากเกร็ดจัดโครงการส่งเสริมและสร้าง จิตส�ำนึกให้ประชาชน และเยาวชน ได้ตระหนักถึงความส�ำคัญ ในการอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม จัดกิจกรรม ติดตามเฝ้าระวังและฟื้นฟูแหล่งน�้ำ จัดตั้งศูนย์เรียนรู้ด้าน สิ่งเเวดล้อม ส่งเสริมให้ประชาชนคัดแยกขยะอย่างถูกวิธี ด้วยการน�ำมารีไซเคิล และสนับสนุนงบประมาณด้านการบริหาร จัดการสถานที่ก�ำจัดขยะ ก่อให้เกิดประโยชน์ต่อชุมชน แก้ไขปัญหาน�้ำท่วมอย่างเป็นระบบ โดยการลอกท่อ ระบายน�้ำ ขุดลอกคูคลอง เพื่อเตรียมรองรับกรณีน�้ำเหนือ ไหลหลากและน�้ำท่วมขังหากเกิดภาวะอุทกภัย และจัดสรร งบประมาณส�ำหรับโครงการป้องกันน�้ำท่วมในระยะยาว การก่อสร้างเขื่อนแม่น�้ำเซาะริมแม่น�้ำเจ้าพระยา สร้างสถานีสูบน�้ำ บริเวณล�ำรางดงตาล ปรับปรุงเขื่อนบริเวณท้ายคลองบ้านเก่า ก่อสร้างเขื่อนแยกคลองบ้านเก่าถึงถนนศรีสมาน ปรับปรุงสภาพแวดล้อมและภูมิทัศน์โดยรอบ ดูแลรักษา ทางและเกาะกลางถนนเพื่อให้ไม้ดอกไม้ประดับได้รับการดูแล อย่างสม�่ำเสมอ มีความสวยงามมาก 2. ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อมเมือง Natural resources and Urban environment Pakkret Municipality organized many activities aiming to promote awareness among people and youth on the importance of natural resources and environmental conservation. It also organized a guarding and restoration of water sources activity and set up the Environmental Knowledge Center. It encouraged people to sort garbage and recycle them properly, as well as supported the budget in garbage dump site management which is useful to the community. To solve the flooding problem systematically, cleaning of the sewage ways was done as a preparation in case that there will be a flash floods from the northern part and water logging from big floods. The budget for long-term flooding prevention project is allocated to build dykes along the Chao Phraya River, to build a pumping station at Dongtan drainage ditch, to improve the dam at the Klong Ban Kao area, and to build a dam at Klong Ban Kao section to Sri Saman Road.
